About the Homecoming Art Show

The Homecoming Art Show began in 1995, over Cherokee National Holiday weekend, in honor of its artists’ shared heritage. It features ten categories of traditional Cherokee and contemporary art. The show will be held virtually and in person from August 10 through September 7, 2024, at Cherokee Springs Plaza.

Frequently Asked Questions

Any citizen of Cherokee Nation, Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, or United Keetoowah Band may enter. Tribal citizenship or CDIB card must accompany entry.  A Cherokee National Treasure, UKB Tradition Keeper, or EBCI Beloved Person is exempt from jury but MUST complete the online entry process by the deadline to participate.

If you have completed the entry process by the deadline, you will be notified by email no later than 5 PM on July 10, 2024 of your acceptance into the show.

There is no fee to enter or participate in HAS this year. A 30% commission on all sales in the art show will be charged. Please price your pieces accordingly.

Yes, there will be a competition. Artists may submit up to three (3) art pieces into the competition, but only two (2) entries in the same category. Ex: Two (2) Pottery and one (1) Basketry OR one (1), Pottery, one (1) Visual Arts, and one (1) Basketry. Please note that the more details you give in the description about your piece and high-resolution photographs will assist with jurying your piece. This will also help any prospective buyers, the more details the better.

All sales, online and in-person, will be processed through Homecoming Art Show. Artists should direct any purchase inquiries to the website or in-person gallery. A 30% commission on all sales in the art show will be charged. Please price your pieces accordingly. When a piece sells, the artist will be notified and will receive payment within 3 weeks of the sale. Purchases will be mailed to buyers by Homecoming Art Show staff by September 15, 2023. Please allow 7-10 days for delivery. Unsold pieces will be available for pick up or shipped back to the artist at that time as well.
